Rennie - a family history (Rennie Family Tree)
In about 1854, Richard Hutchinson Rennie left England and came to Australia. He settled in Buninyong in the colony of Victoria, probably attracted there by the nearby gold discoveries.

He was a builder, and over the next thirty year he constructed many fine building in that town and in nearby Ballarat .

Richard and Jane Stanbury raised a large family of eight children, with one other child dying very young.

However, Richard had also left a wife and family of five children back in England.

This family history is largely the story of the ancestors and descendants of Richard Hutchinson Rennie, as researched by his great great grandson Richard Sydney Rennie (fifth in a line of Richard Rennies).
